"Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Eades, 83, died Friday at 12:45 p.m. in Cogdell Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Harry Vanderpool, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Snyder Cemetery under direction of Bell Funeral Home. Mrs. Eades, the former Sarah Elizabeth Haskins, was born Oct. 23, 1879, in Cumberland Gap, Va. She married James Criss Eades Oct. 10, 1898, in Anna, Tex. They came to Union from Alba, Tex. in September 1962. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include the husband, one daughter, Mrs. Neal Henley of Snyder; one son, J. L. Eades of Orange; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren."
