Throat Ailment Fatal to Girl Miss Jane Stayton, 17, died at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday at the Sweetwater Hospital of a throat infection and complications. She had been a patient of the sanitarium about 10 days. Miss Stayton is survived by her mother, Mrs. Bruce Poe, and four brothers, Glen, Gene and Wylie Stayton and Jimmie Don Poe. Funeral services are to be conducted at 4 o'clock this afternoon at the First Baptist Church, the Rev. Loris G. Shepperd officiating. Yates Funeral Home is directing arrangements and burial in the city cemetery.
