Funeral services for R.D. Smith, 49, of Holliday are pending at the James B. Totten and Son Funeral Home. Smith, a native of Electra was born Feb. 12, 1915 and had resided in Wichita County most of his life. He died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at his home in Holliday, following a lengthy illness. Survivors include his wife, Charlene; two sons, Joe and Michael both of Wichita Falls; one daughter, R-Dean Smith, student at North Texas State; his mother, Mrs. M.C. Smith of Iowa Park; five sisters, Mrs. Alton Holbrook of Electra, Mrs. Ed Hayes of Iowa Park, Mrs. George Shelley of Kermit, Mrs. E.E. Bowen of Midland, Mrs. R.H. Burnett of Jal. New Mexico; eight brothers, Earl of Big Spring, George, Bowie, Doc, Electra, Roy and Ledford, Wichita Falls, Woodrow, Huntsville, Arkansas, Joe, Hobbs, New Mexico and Ira of Iowa Park._ Electra Park December 12, 1963
