Mrs. Montgomery, Sweetwater, Dies; Rites Set Tuesday Sweetwater - Mrs. Cornelia Bertie Montgomery, 84, longtime resident of this area, died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday in Star Nursing Home in Merkel. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Patterson Chapel of Memories in Sweetwater. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery. The former Cornelia Harrington, Mrs. Montgomery had lived in Merkel since she was nine years old, except for a few years when she lived at Dublin. Her husband, J. C. (Bud) Montgomery, died July 22, 1963. Survivors are three sons, L. V. of El Paso, Richard of Wilcox, Ariz., and Lee Ray of Dublin; a brother, Lloyd Harrington of San Diego, Calif.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
