Bio

H. F. "Hap" Weaver, 88, of Salado, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2006, in a Temple hospital. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, August 26, at Temple Bible Church with Rev. Gary DeSalvo officiating. Private burial will be at Salado Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Hap was born in Teague, Texas, to the late John Frank and Lily (Brannon) Weaver. He graduated from Van High School, and Texas A&M University in 1950. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II serving in the European Theater. He married Ginger Miers on October 5, 1946 in Mexia. He retired from Mobil Oil Corporation as a regulatory engineer in 1988. Mr. Weaver was a member of Temple Bible Church and Gideons International. Survivors include his wife, Ginger Weaver, of Salado; sons, Hap Weaver and wife, Laura, of Boerne and John Fred Weaver, of Salado; daughter, Yvette Ellison and husband, Doug, of Petersburg, TX; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
