Bio

Ernest Behen, 60, died suddenly Wednesday about 5:30 p.m. in the Jarman Hospital in Tuscola. Mr. Behen had been in poor health since last November and had been hospitalized several times. Born May 3, 1898, Ernest Behen was the son of O. J. and Anna Shirey Behen. He married Ruth Clark of Arthur in Decatur in 1918. He was a foreman at the Progress Mfg. Co, in Arthur for the past 25 years. Mr. Behen leaves his wife and two daughters Mrs. Lynn Ohonasorge, Arthur, and Mrs. Ruby | June Lamb of Chicago; two granddaughters Cheryl Lamb and Lynette Ohonasorge. There are also six brothers: Wilbur, Filmore; Harry, Jess, Lovington; Clayton, La Grange; George, Bloomington, Ind.; Lyle, Decatur; sisters, Mrs. Helen Clark, Decatur, Mrs. Mamie Hoffman and Mrs. Hazel Scovil, Lovington and a host of relatives and friends.
