Bio
Archie D. Pendley, 81, of Waxahachie, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Baylor Scott and White in Waxahachie. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2015, in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Graveside service and interment with military honors will be at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2015, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Archie was born in Dimmit, Texas, to the late Urie Carson and Willie Pearl (Austin) Pendley. He married Kay Butler in England. Archie served in the U.S. Navy for four years and then retired from the U.S. Air Force with 22 years of service as a Senior Master Sergeant. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverley; and brothers: Victor, Carson, Bobby, and Gene. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Kay Pendley; daughter, Elizabeth Jackson; son, Lance Pendley; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Pinto; sister, Mary Ruth; other relatives and many friends.
