Gene Austin Pendley, 86, of Wichita Falls, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Gene was born on October 26, 1928 in Tulia, Texas to the late U.C. and Willie Pearl (Austin) Pendley. He served our country proudly in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Sr. MSgt. after 21 years. He later worked for Bobby Wilson Law Firm where he was a Private Investigator for 13 years. On February 2, 1952, he married Donna Seifert in Washington, D.C. Gene was a member of the VFW for 40 years, and a lifetime member of the BPOE Elks Lodge #1105 where he was known for his egg nog that he made each year. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, watching sports, gardening, and was a Dallas Cowboys fan. Along with his parents, Gene was also preceded in death by his brothers, Victor Pendley, V. Carson Pendley, Jr., and Bobby Pendley. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Donna Pendley; his children, Lola Jean Pepper, Jeffery Pendley and wife Beverly all of Wichita Falls, Bridget Lott and husband Tim of Seattle, Washington, and Rodney Pendley of Mansfield; his siblings, Mary Ruth Melrose of Bellevue, Washington, Billy Rae "Pinto" Pendley of Mineola, and Archie Pendley and wife Kay of Waxahachie; his grandchildren, Jeffery Pendley, Jr. and wife Kimberly, Paige Lessor and husband Kyle, Bradly Pepper and wife Debbie, and Brent Pepper and wife Brittany; and his great-grandchildren, Addisen and Nolan Pendley, and Laken Lessor.
