Altman, 69 He worked at the Burnettsville elevator Herbert W. Altman, 69, formerly of Burnettsville, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, after a 22-year battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born in rural Reynolds on Aug. 24, 1936, to John H. and Mary T. (Haysley) Altman. He married Wilma Sutton on Nov. 27, 1959. She survives. He worked at the Burnettsville elevator, was a Burnettsville Volunteer Firefighter and helped with Cub Scouts. He retired from Peoria High School, Ariz., working in the maintenance department. Other survivors include sons, David (Debbie) Altman and Jeff Altman, both of Arizona; daughter, Brenda (Vince) Vandenberg, Arizona; seven grandchildren; sisters, Lenora (Gerald) Gallinger, Monticello, Laurine (Tom) Pritts, Burnettsville, and Loretta Snavely, Monon; brothers, Leo Joe (Peggy) Altman, Idaville, Ted Altman, and Bernie (Dinnie) Altman, both of Burnettsville; several nieces and nephews. A brother, John D. Altman, is deceased. Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 18, in Phoenix. Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery, Phoenix. -------------------------
