From "The Republican-Register", Aurora, Nebraska dated Friday, January 15, 1937, Page 1: Mrs. Cullen Rites Held Wednesday Early Resident Of County Passed Away at Her Home Sunday Funeral services for Mrs. T. S. Cullen, 67, were held at the Presbyterian church in Stockham 2:30 Wednesday with Rev. McClenahan in charge. Mrs. Cullen passed away at her home south of Aurora Sunday after an extended illness. Pall bearers were Joe Piggott, Geo. Cameron, Tom Salmon, Will Leymaster, Harry Evans and W. F. Jensen. Interment was in Aurora cemetery. The following obituary was read at the services: Nora T. Beat was born Sept. 16, 1869 in Dane county, Wisconsin, and departed this life January 10, 1937 at the age of 67 years, 3 months and 24 days. She came to Nebraska in 1887 and was married to T. S. Cullen April 25, 1889. To this union five children were born, one son and two daughters preceding her in death. Mrs. Cullen united with the Presbyterian church in Aurora in 1917. She leaves to mourn her departure, besides her husband, two daughters, Myrtle Kennedy of South Gate, Calif.; Clara Shattuck of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Guy Jr. and Jean Shattuck of Lincoln; four half brothers, three half sisters, besides other relatives and a host of friends.
