Loraine Frances (Urbanovsky) Sternadel, 86, of La Grange, Texas, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Care Inn of La Grange. Loraine was born in Fayetteville, Texas on December 12, 1928, the daughter of Adolph and Frances (Chovanec) Urbanovsky. She married Merle Sternadel on September 15, 1950 in Schulenburg. Loraine worked as a homemaker. Her many hobbies included playing dominos and bingo; planting and growing flowers in her garden. She was an avid sports fan of the Aggies. She loved spending time with her family. Loraine was well known for her famous homemade red velvet cake. Loraine was a devoted, long-time member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville. She is survived by daughter, Lana Limmer of Waldeck; two sons: Kim Sternadel and Sue Schoenst; Luke Sternadel and wife, Audrey, all of Waldeck; sister, Evelyn Stall of La Grange; brother-in-law, Alex Vinclarek of Cistern; grandchildren: Joshua Limmer and wife, Megan; Judson Limmer and wife, Morgan; Clint, Gavin and Amber Sternadel; and great granddaughter, Jenna Limmer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merle Sternadel; daughter, Gail Sternadel; and the most recent death of brother-in-law, Joe Stall; along with numerous other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Visitation will be held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family will receive friends and a rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 539 E. Pearl St., La Grange, Texas. Burial will follow at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Schulenburg, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, P. O. Box 57, Fayetteville, TX 78940 or a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home, 208 W. Pearl, La Grange, Texas.
