Bio

Dora Mae Case Housewright was granted her Angel Wings on October 27th 2015. Her final days were spent with her family by her side at Baylor Hospital Dallas. She was born to the late William and Nora Grimes, Nov. 26, 1934 in Ryan, Okla. She married the love of her life Charles Ernest Case Sr in June 1953. Together they raised their family of 1 daughter and 3 sons. She worked over 40 years as a Waitress, a majority of those at the "Golden Ox Grill" in Mesquite, Tx., and was an active Member of Robinwood Baptist Church in Seagoville, Tx for over 35 years. She nourished people around her with the love of her faith, family and friends. A role model Christian and a true warrior for the Lord. Her Faith carried her through several of life's sorrows. She was the true Matriarch of her family. She loved spending time with her close friends. Dora is survived by daughter Charlotte and husband Larry Currie of Sulphur, LA; son Jordan Case and wife Karen of Plano, Tx.; Daughter in Law Barbara Case of Prosper, Tx. and Daughter in Law Brenda Case of Mabank,Tx. She is the proud Grandmother of 12 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren who knew her as GiGi; Also Sister Lois Barnes of Van Alstyne, Betty Murphy of Mesquite and brother Buck Grimes and his wife Mary of Mabank, Tx. And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband; Charles Ernest Case Sr.; sons Charles Ernest Case Jr. and J.I. Case; parents William and Nora Grimes; Sisters Lilly Mae Lawson, Rachel Beaver; Brothers Clois and Race Grimes. Also late Husband George O. Housewright. Viewing will be Sunday, Nov. 1st at Roselawn Funeral Home in Seagoville, Tx from 2:00-6:00 p.m., Service will be Monday Nov. 2nd at Robinwood Baptist Church in Seagoville, Tx. at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow the Service at Laurel Oaks Cemetery in Balch Springs, Tx.
