California, Death Index, 1940-1997ø‚ Birth, Marriage & Death Name: Thomas Cecil Kratzer Birth: 26 Jun 1899 - Missouri Death: 15 Jan 1979 - Nevada THOMAS KRATZER Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Grass Valley, for Thomas Cecil Kratzer. Mr. Kratzer died Monday at a local medical facility at the age of 79. A Grass Valley resident, he was born in Missouri. Moving to California in 1939, he worked for Todd's Shipyards in Oakland for 48 years. Mr. Kratzer retired to Nevada county in 1971. He is survived by his wife, Mayme Kratzer of Grass Valley; daughters Lois Wichmann of Fremontl and Carol Anderson of San Leandro and a sister Mabel Robinson of Placerville. His four surviving brothers----Elwood, Emanuel, Paul and Ruben----live in Nebraska. There are three grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Harper @ Weaver Mortuary. The family prefers donations to a favorite charity.
