Roy Tiff Sr., 79 of Ravenna, died Sunday, October 18, 2015 at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2015 at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Pofahl officiating. Arrangement entrusted to O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home. Roy Lee Tiff, Sr. was born January 12, 1936 in Ericson, Nebraska to John Martin and Alma Katherine (Woolery) Tiff. Roy was united in marriage to Ardith “Vee” Rollstin on April 22, 1961 in Grand Island, NE. The couple made their home in Chapman, NE. Roy had a long career working construction, beginning at Chief in Grand Island. He would later start the “Roy Tiff Construction Company” in Grand Island. In 1974, Roy and his family moved to Kearney where he worked for Harvey Anderson with Mid Nebraska Structures. Following that, he worked for several construction companies. Roy also worked as the head custodian at Kearney Clinic. Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Marty Tiff of Kearney, Dennis Tiff and wife, Jane of Houston, TX; daughters, Gina Felton and husband, Fred of Windsboro, SC, Katie Schaub and husband, Jason of Ravenna; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Roy is preceded in death by his parents; wife Vee Tiff, and son Roy Tiff, Jr.
