Bio

Funeral services for Charles C. Mason, 75, who died Friday at his home here, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in James B. Totten and Son Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Joe Ainsworth, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Electra Memorial Park. Mr. Mason, a retired auto mechanic, was born June 27, 1905 in Gorman and had lived in Electra for 35 years. Prior to that, he lived 14 years in Wilbarger County. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Long Branch, Texas. Survivors include: his wife, Ola; one daughter, Betty Martin of Fort Worth; one son, Harold Mason of Electra; two sisters, Cora Roberts of Abilene and Lillie Boles of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family has requested memorials to be made to First Baptist Church of Electra. Pallbearers were Dewey Miller, Robert Huffstutler, Fred Huffstutler, Gregory Lynn, O.L. Tucker, and Thomas D.
