Birth name was Vera Kay Farquhar. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kay Bennett of Itasca passed away October 10, 2015 at Town Hall Estates in Hillsboro. At Kay's request no funeral is planned. She was born October 27, 1938 to Bill and Lois (Myers) Farquhar in the Culp area. She married Kenneth Bennett December 10, 1954 and he preceded her in death October 18, 1986. She and Kenneth owned and operated a store and gas station in Osceola for many years; she also worked as a LVN. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Glenda Farquhar and Betty Tribble; niece Debbie Kirkland; and nephew Paul Glen Willis. She is survived by daughters Gina Cordell of Osceola and Bette Sue Garvin of Itasca; grandchildren Jordan Cordell of Itasca, Joshua Garvin of Barstow, and Will Cordell of Pecos; great-granddaughters Hannah Lane Garvin, Kaylee Cordell and Kate Lewis; brothers Olin, Billy, George and Danny Farquhar; sister Sue Cockerham; several nieces and nephews.
