Daughter of Charles Hurlbert (~1847 NY-1890 NE) Other children: Ethel (~1905 NE-~1907 NE) Gaylen Berl "Pete" (1926 NE-2009 CA) ------------------------------------------------- MOTHER OF SIX CHILDREN DIES OF PNEUMONIA Mrs. Bert Lashmett Passes Away After Several Weeks of Serious Illness Della Rose Lashmett, wife of Bert Lashmett, deputy state game warden, passed away in a local hospital on December 27 after an illness of several weeks. She was the mother of seven children, six of whom survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Lashmett were held at 2 pm Sunday from the Christian church, rev. G. O. Bell, of Norfolk, being in charge. Interment was in Ord cemetery. Mrs. Lashmett was born forty one years ago near Kent, Nebr., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hurlbert. Her father died when she was a little girl. In 1903 she was married to Bert Lashmett. To this union seven children were born, Ethel, the eldest child and only girl passing away when only two years old. The other six children survive. They are Ora Allen, Leroy, Ervin, Everett, Donald Wayne, and Gaylen Berl. The latter is but two years old. Besides her sons she is survived by her husband, three brothers and her aged mother, Mrs George Nightengale. Mrs. Lashmett was a member of the Degree of Honor lodge, the Rebekah lodge and the Ord Christian church.
