From findagrave contributor Emily Jordan: THE OKLAHOMAN (Oklahoma City, OK) 12/17/1929 Deaths & Funerals (Tuesday) Garland Slemp, 18 years old, son of Mr. & Mrs. S.M. Slemp, 215 S.E. 13th St., accidentally shot and killed near Tuttle Sunday. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Forney Hutchinson at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Watts & McAtee chapel. 12/18/1929 News of Oklahoma City Reported in Brief (Wednesday) Slemp Funeral Services Held – Funeral services for Garland Slemp, son of Mr. & Mrs. S.M. Slemp, 215 E. 35th street, south, were held at Watts & McAtee funeral home, 1301 N. Robinson avenue, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Forney Hutchinson, pastor of St. Luke's Methodisth church, officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery.
