Esther Charlotte Wiley, 93, Stanberry, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1997, at a Stanberry health-care center. Mrs. Wiley was born in Grand River, Iowa, on Nov. 8, 1903, and attended rural Iowa schools. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Wiley was a member of First Christian Church of Stanberry, Quilters Termites at the Senior Nutrition Site, the Star Homemakers Club, and was an active golfer and quilter. On July 8, 1922, she married Samuel B. Wiley in Creston, Iowa. He preceded her in death. Surviving: two sons, Lewis, Independence, Mo., and Sammy, Stanberry; three daughters, Leona Kinkade, Albany, Mo., Lois M. Heistand, Independence, Mo., and Lavonne Gregg, Haywarden, Iowa; three brothers, two sisters, and 21 grandchildren. Services: Saturday, Sept. 27, 1997, First Christian Church, Stanberry.
