son of George Broyles Kindle - Margaret Jane Stiff Services for John M. Kindle, retired vice president of Lone Star Gas Company's transmission division were officiated by Re.v James B. Scott, of University Park United Methodist Church assisted by Dr. William E. Norman, First Baptist Church at Quanah. The former president and board member of the Natural Gas Processors Association, began his 39 year career with Lone Star Gas in 1925 following graduating from Texas A&M with a B.S. degree in chemical engineering. He worked at company offices in Texas at Petrolia, Joshua, Trinidad and Ranger before returning to Dallas in 1943 as assistant superintendent of gasoline plants. In 1950, he was named Superintendent of gasoline plants and in 1954 was named Superintendent of the company's transmission division and vice president and a director of Lone Star Producing Company, a wholly owned Lone Star Gas subsidiary. A leader in oil and gas industry, Kindle was active in the American Petroleum Institute, American Gas Association, Southern Gas Association, Independent Petroleum Association of America, Dallas Petroleum Club and Dallas Athletic Club. Kindle is survived by his wife, the former Lucille Norman, formerly of Graham Texas; one daughter - Mrs. Arthur Cullen Sanders, III; one grandson; six sisters - Miss Bess Kindle, Mrs. Esther Dickerson, Mrs. Maggie Benton, Mrs. T.L. Cantrell, Mrs. Bertha Kennedy, Mrs. Marion Thomas.
