Bio
Marjorie Chikos, 79 of Scottsbluff, Nebraska formerly of Bridgeport, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Chimney Rock Villa in Bayard, NE after a long fight with Alzheimers. She was born on September 27, 1929 to George and Gladys (Hunt) Pike in the Broadwater area. She graduated with honors from Bridgeport High School in 1946 at the age of 16. She worked for the County Water Department until her marriage to Pete J. Chikos in 1952. They had three daughters; Cheryl, Chris and Lorri and one son Brad. She returned to the workplace in 1969 and worked for the County Road Department and Handyman Handy bus until retiring in the early 90’s. She was a 50-year member of First Presbyterian Church in Bridgeport and held numerous positions within it during that time. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Gladys Pike Eustace, her husband, Pete and her son Brad. Interment will follow at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport.
