Bessie passed away in an Athens, Texas hospital on September 18, 2015. She was raised in Ennis and after she married Louis Vavra in Ennis on November 7, 1949, they moved to the Lone Star Community near Kaufman, Texas. Bessie worked for Titus Manufacturing in Terrell, Texas for fifteen years, before retiring. She was a member of the Saint Ann Catholic Church in Kaufman. She loved gardening, dancing and singing. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband Louis on January 11, 2003. Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Saint Martin’s Catholic Church in Talty, Texas with interment following in Rose Hill Cemetery.
