Lenox Time Table, Lenox, Iowa Wednesday March 6, 1996 Funeral services for Thomas Hingeley were held February 26, 1996 at the United Church of Diagonal in Diagonal, Iowa. Officiating the service was Rev. Pam Farren. Music was provided by organist, Mrs. Claire Newton. George Thomas Hingeley, 50, of Grand River, Iowa died Feb. 23, 1996 at his home. Tom was born September 25, 1945 at Perry, Iowa to Leon and Mamie (Higgins) Hingeley. He attended schools at Greenfield and Lenox. On January 26, 1964 he was married to Eva Henderson in Lenox, Iowa. The this union 3 children were born, 2 sons Tim and Quentin and 1 daughter Christine. For a time he made his living farming in the Churdan, Iowa area. For 2 years he lived in the Omaha area before moving back to Diagonal. On September 14, 1991 he was married to Debbie Ford at Diagonal. At the time of his death he was engaged in farming as well as working at Schlapia Inc. in Diagonal. Survivors include his wife Debbie, his father Leon Hingeley of Mt. Ayr; children Tim and wife Kim of Bellevue, Neb., Christine and husband Ron Hicks of Ft. Hood, Texas, and Quentin and wife Shelly of Plattsmouth, Neb. Also stepchildren Jason, Nathan, Karrie, Joey and Josh Ford at home. Brother Bill and wife Pat Hingeley of Diagonal, sisters Julie and husband Jim Grim of Ord, Neb. and Verna and husband Frank Kozal of Jefferson, Iowa, 7 grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, 2 brothers Norvin and Leo and 2 infant grandchildren. Casket bearers were Ron Schlapia, Mark Schlapia, Robert Schlapia, Kenneth Sobotka, Spencer Lumbard, and Jim Coins. Interment was in the North Fairview Cemetery in Lenox. Wilson-Watson Service was in charge of the arrangements.
