Bio
Requiem mass was celebrated for Joseph Landsfeld, 72, at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church, with Rev., Francis Kovanda as the celebrant. Interment was in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bob Trojacek, Leslie Jarolimek, Alfred Jakubik, Joe David Janousek, Joe E. and Wesley Landsfeld. Mr. Landsfeld was born Apr. 12, 1894, in Czechoslovakia, and moved to Ennis in 1913. He was a retired farmer, a member of St. John's Catholic and the SPJST Society. Survivors include his wife, of the home address; a son, Joe J. Landsfeld, of Ennis; 2 daughters, Mrs. Leslie Strunc, Ennis; Mrs. Joe Janousek, Ennis; 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 3 sisters, who reside in Czechoslovakia. One son, Wesley J. Landsfeld, preceded him in death, in 1961. Ennis Weekly Local, Thursday, March 23, 1967.
