POKORNY: Charles Rudolph, age 91. Passed away at his home in Omaha, NE. He was born July 25 1913 to Vaclav and Emilie Zelenza Pokorny in Omaha where he lived his entire life. He was united in marriage to Ann Hodak on Oct. 6, 1937. "Charlie" was one of the oldest active pilots in America, a Golden member of the Silver Wings Fraternity and a member of the Wahoo Aero Squadron. His first solo flight was in 1931. He was an extraordinary machinist by trade. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; his grandson, John Wesley Sanders; son-in-law, Johnny Sanders, all of Omaha. He was the youngest of eight children, all of whom also preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Sanders, Omaha; his granddaughter, Jennifer Jarrett and husband Michael; 3 great-grandsons, Gabriel, Adrian and Donovan Jarrett, all of Little Rock, AR; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and June Hodak, Independence, MO; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Marge Lawson, Prescott, AZ; sister-in-law, Lillian Hodak, Omaha, Louise Pokorny, Mountain Home, AR; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. WAKE SERVICE Tues. 7 pm, West Center Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICE Wed. 9:30 am West Center Chapel to Holy Cross Catholic Church at 10 am. Interment Calvary Cemetery. VISITATION starts Tues. 4 pm.
