Bio

Christine South Davis , 81, of Burnsville, MS, died Friday, September 4, 2015, at the Carrington House in Iuka. Mrs. Davis was a member of Berea Church of Christ and a homemaker. She is survived by three brothers, Abe South (Gayle) of Killen, AL, Talmadge South (Judy) of Tishomingo, and Avon “Booster” South of Burnsville; and a sister-in-law, Mary Quay South of Tishomingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Dwayne Davis, her parents, Elmer and Ruby Curtis South; and a brother, Travis South. Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 7, at Pleasant Grove Church of Christ, officiated by Jim Estes. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 12:00 noon until service time at the church on Monday. Pallbearers include Jeff Holmes, Michael South, Ben South, Mark South, Sam South, and Jimmy Calton. Honorary pallbearers include James Lovelace, Ray South, and Robert Davis.
