Bio
Son of John A. & Tonie (Pratt) Ptacek. He attended District #61 School south of Bruno and a Farm Operators Course at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. On November 17, 1941 Vladimir was united in marriage to Sophie C. Navratil at Holy Trinity Church in Brainard. The couple lived and farmed west of Bruno until moving to Columbus in 1967. Vladimir worked as a machinist for Behlen Manufacturing until retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, Knights Of Columbus and a 4-H Leader. Vladimir enjoyed woodworking, fishing and polka music.
