Born in Bellwood, Nebraska, on August 17, 1917, the daughter of Frank P. and Irene (Grant) Gunderson. Married to Harold in 1937. Bellwood High graduate. Active member of Havelock United Methodist Church. Family members include: son, Gary Brakhage; sister, brother-in-law, Betty and Maurice Sylvester; brother-in-law, Valerian Paczosa; sister-in-law, Arnetta Carpenter.
