Inez (Mimi) Melton passed away August 22 at the age of 101 in Round Rock in her daughter's home. She was born in Thorndale, TX on Aug. 17, 1914 and moved to Austin after marrying Logan Melton, a local home builder and developer. They were married 64 years before his death in 1996. She is predeceased by her parents, five brothers and four sisters. Her greatest joy was being with her family and friends. She was playing cards and wahoo with her friends Linda and Jerry Moon weekly until the last few weeks of her life. She was a beautiful woman both inside and out and was loved by everyone she met. She will be so greatly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Norma Holder and Cecil, and Ida Stringfellow and Doug; four grandchildren, Mike Holder and Janet, Stephanie Million and Rick, David Holder and Candy, and Stacy Roddy and Chris; six great-grandchildren, Drew Holder and Courtney, Josh Brunsman, Michelle Christensen and Eric, Dylan Roddy, India Roddy and Greg Holder; and two great-great grandchildren, Lyla and Pierce Holder and baby Christensen due in December. A special thank you to Deanna and Jane of Legacy Hospice. Visitation will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, with funeral services. She will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Legacy Hospice. Please visit Inez's memorial at www.cookwaldencapitalparks.com.
