Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Mar. 12, 1959 Graveside Rites For Dr.Penrod Graveside services will be held in the Masonic cemetery in Gonzales at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday for Dr. Lucian Penrod of Taft, brother of Mrs. J. M. Thornton and Boyce Penrod of this city. Dr. Penrod died in a Sinton hospital at 5:40 a.m. Monday fella heart attack. He was the son of the late Dr. William Henneth Penrod and Mary Frances Aycock Penrod. His father was pastor of the First Baptist church here for many years. Survivors include his wife, the former Bessie Lawley; a son, Ray, of Harlingen; three grandchildren, and one brother and one sister, Mr. penrod and Mrs. Thornton. The Rev. J. Earl Bryant, pastor of the First Baptist church, will be in charge of the final rites here,with Seydler Funeral home in charge of arrangements. His nephews will be tje pallbearers.
