Married Anastacio Hernande Medina on 28 Feb 1972 in Hopkins, County, Texas. ∼ Married Billy Joe Cummings on 3 Nov 1966 in Dallas County, Texas. ∼ Nell Medina Services for Nell Medina, 38, of Route 1, Dike, were held Tuesday in Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. L.E. Richardson officiating. Burial was in Connor Cemetery with Gene Neal, Billy Gregg, Chad Young, Fred Young, Richard McGill and Zack Moore serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Medina died Sunday in Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She was bom July 21, 1949, in Greenville, a daughter of Audrey Clyde and Dreahnella Faye Thorp Young. They survive. She married Anastacio H. (Cruz) Medina Feb. 28, 1972, in Sulphur Springs. He survives. She was a homemaker, an Avon representative and a member of East Dike Baptist Church. Her community involvement included Red Cross volunteer, leader of Dike 4-H, leader of Girl Scout Troop No. 172, member of the Extension Homemakers and secretary of the Dike Volunteer Fire Department, Other survivors include one son, Billy Joe Cummings of Sulphur Springs; two daughters, Sirilda Kay Medina and Elisha Nell Medina, both of Dike; two brothers, Allen Clyde Young of Louisville and Gay Lynn Young of Sulphur Bluff; one sister, Shirley Reynolds of Dike; and one granddaughter.
