Bio

Funeral arrangements for Doyle W. Coody, 72, of DeRidder, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at Chaddick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wayne Kite officiating. Interment will follow at Cooper Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 27, from 5-8 p.m. and again on Friday, Dec. 28, from 8 a.m. until time of service. Coody died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007 at Beauregard Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lemul and Lila Coody, and his sister, Mildred Coody Freeman. He is survived by his wife, Paula W. Coody, of DeRidder; one daughter, Sarah Beth Gamblin Jackson, of Deer Park, Texas; two sons, Jason Doyal Coody and wife, Shauna, of New Braunfels, Texas, and John Mark Gamblin, of Haymarket, Va.; two grandchildren, Austin Coody and Ashley Coody; three sisters, Doris Coody Reeves and husband, Harvey "Nick," of DeRidder, Sena Theall and husband, John, of Lake Charles, and Earline Quibodeau, of Baytown, Texas; and one brother, Ray Coody and wife, Jean, of DeRidder; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. We who loved him rejoice in his passing, on this, his Savior's birthday, as this is his heavenly birthday.
