Stanley J. Chrastil, 92, Crete, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015. He was born February 27, 1923 in Lancaster County, Nebraska, the son of Joseph Jr. & Helen (Vlcek) Chrastil. Stanley attended rural school District #11 in Lancaster, County, completing his education at the 8th grade. He farmed near Hallam with his father, and then his sons until he was in his 8O's and could no longer climb into the tractor. He loved everything that farming had to offer, from watching the crops grow to producing a bountiful harvest and raising livestock. Farming was his life. Survivors include: daughters, Lorraine Chrastil, and Lucille (Dennis) Mohlman; sons, Eugene (Susan) Chrastil, and Eldon (Rose) Chrastil; grandchildren, Joshua Mohlman, Jennifer (Sean) Grimes, Brenda (Aaron) LaTowsky, Jesse (Hillary) Chrastil, Eric Chrastil, Audrey (Randy) Albrecht, and Andrew Chrastil; great-grandchildren, Grant and Rex Grimes, Henry, Oliver, and London LaTowsky, Owen and Elle Chrastil, Hailey and Riley Albrecht; sister, Arlene Chrastil; and special friend, Grace Kotas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, his parents, and sisters, Sylvia Chrastil, Erma Cerveny, and Gladys Tenopir. Funeral services on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete, Nebraska. Interment will take place at the Wilber Czech Cemetery, Wilber, Nebraska.
