Bio

John Albert Hauer, 54, died at his home on July 27, 2015. John was born Oct. 12, 1960 in Torrington, the son of Carl and Geraldine (Baxter) Hauer. He grew up and received his education in Torrington, graduating high school in 1979. He then attended Eastern Wyoming College for two years. He married Diana Stuck and they were later divorced. He served as a police officer in Denver, Colo. for a time before attending the police academy in Colorado. In the late 1980s, he came back to Torrington where he worked as a cook at the Indian Grill, now Deacon’s. He also cooked at several other restaurants in Torrington as well as working in recycling with the handicapped through Diversified Services. He married his long-time friend Sandra Condo on Jan. 12, 2008. John enjoyed gardening, Special Olympics, motorcycles, fixing things in and around the house, helping neighbors and friends, watching his favorite TV shows, cooking, walking with the dogs along the river, and mainly spending time with his family and friends. John is survived by his wife, Sandra of Torrington; a daughter, Treasa McNeal of Torrington; step-daughters, Andrea Sipe of Sturgis, S.D. and Twylla Sipe of Gillette; a step-son, Edward Sipe of Gillette; numerous brothers and sisters; three grandchildren; and one step-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; and several brothers and sisters. © Torrington Telegram July 31, 2015
