Gazette Telegraph, Colorado Springs, CO Sunday, Nov. 2, 1975 page A4:2 Rene G. Desmul Mass of Christian Burial for Rene G. Desmul, 84, will be heldat 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with the Rev. Edward T. Madden officiating. Mr. Desmul, who lived at 1211 James Lane, died Friday in a local nursing home. He was born Sept. 15, 1897 in David City, Nebraska. He was a retired rancher and belonged to Divine Redeemer Catholic Church and the Grange. Married Jan. 6, 1919 in Geranium, Neb., Mr. Desmul is survived by his widow, Mary Desmul of Colorado Springs. Others Survivors include a son, L.R. Desmul of Colorado Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Avey of Houston and Mrs. Marianne Ferris of Summit, N.J., two brothers, Victor Desmul of Eccondito, Calif., and Henry Desmul of Ord, Neb.; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. a son, Lyle Desmul, died Dec. 23, 1973. Entombment will be in the Evergreen Shrine of Rest Mausoleum.
