Albin Skalak, 81, Crete, formerly of Dorchester, passed away December 15, 2011 in Laredo, Texas. Born November 22, 1930, the son of Vincl "Jim" and Nellie Marie (Strizek) Skalak. Served in Marine Corp from March 1952 to March 1954. Member Dorchester American Legion, West Blue Church. Farmer and over the road trucker. Survivors: wife, Marilyn (Fette) Skalak; son and spouse, Russel and Debbie Skalak; daughters and spouse, Kathy and Jack Oelschlager, and Connie Benorden; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Richard; infant twins, Robert and Barbara; grandson, Ryan Skalak; sister, Dorothy Eucher; brother, Harold. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Kuncl Funeral Home, Crete. Interment at West Blue Cemetery. Obituary information from Lincoln Journal Star website.
