Fremont Tribune (NE) - Tuesday, December 18, 2001 CLARKSON -- Hubert F. Baumert, 76, of Clarkson died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Clarkson. He was born Oct. 17, 1925, in Cuming County near Aloys. He attended St. Aloysius Catholic School in Aloys. He married Kathleen Hegemann Feb. 15, 1950, in Howells. He farmed in Cuming County for several years before settling on a farm west of Clarkson in 1965. They moved into Clarkson in 2000 and he continued to farm. He received his honorary GED just this past year through veteran's affairs. He was a member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Holy Name Society and Cornhusker Post 6419 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include: his wife; seven daughters, Nancy (Mrs. Jerry) Eckert of Littleton, Colo., Patricia (Mrs. Lee) Larson of Leigh, Carol (Mrs. Dave) Steehler of Eden Prairie, Minn., Lynn (Mrs. Leo) Zemba of Clarks, Anita (Mrs. Jerry) Steffensmeier of Howells, Mary (Mrs. Dennis) Stoklasa and Monica (Mrs. Mike) Harney, all of Clarkson; three brothers, Alfons Baumert and Marius Baumert, both of West Point, and Paul Baumert of North Bend; a sister, Mildred Emanuel of North Bend; 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Clarkson. The Rev. Floyd Wessling will officiate. Visitation will be 2-5 tonight at Miller Funeral Home in Clarkson, 6-7:30 tonight and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, all at the church. A rosary will be said at 7 tonight at the church. Burial will be in Clarkson Catholic Cemetery with military honors conducted by Cornhusker Post 6419 of the V.F.W. A memorial has been established to St. John Neumann Catholic School in Clarkson.
