Bio
Deon was buried on 30 December 2008. With his son by his side, Deon LeRoy Hansen returned to his Heavenly Home on Christmas morning, December 25, 2008. Deon was born on May 20, 1942 in American Fork, Utah. He was married to Lorna Fayne Wyatt. Together, they had two wonderful sons: Van LeRoy Hansen and Jeff Fayne Hansen. Deon was an amazing man who endured a lifetime of suffering. Despite his afflictions, he remained strong and endured until the end. Deon loved listening to the Oldies Rock & Roll music; fishing; Seinfeld; nature; and good food! He was a gifted artist and a natural athlete. He was intelligent, witty and had a great sense of humor. Deon honorably served our Country in the United States Army. Certainly, Deon's greatest love was for his family. Deon is survived by his devoted sons; his sweet grandchildren, Oakley, Rhett and Asher Hansen; and his two loving brothers, Allen and Glen Hansen. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother and father, Mabel Durrant Hansen & Hyrum Leslie Hansen and his cherished sister, Sherri Hansen Homer. Deon's Family expresses their deepest appreciation to the staff of Federal Heights Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary in American Fork, 49 East 100 North. A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the American Fork Cemetery. We love you dearest Deon! Finally, you are at peace. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to one of the following organizations: Spina Bifida Association; Shriner's Hospital for children or the University of Utah College of Nursing.
