Richard “Glen” Hansen 1941 - 2013 Richard Glen Hansen a loving father, grandfather, husband and friend, passed away at his Pleasant Grove home the morning of January 4, 2013. He was born March 20, 1941 in American Fork, Utah to Hyrum Leslie and Mabel Durrant Hansen. He married Sylvia Sue Lippold on June 22, 1962 in Elko, NV. Glen worked for Utah Power as a lineman and supervisor for 41 years, retired, and started instructing Linemen Technology at UVSC. Glen belonged to the Roughout Riding Club and was a longtime member of the Strawberry Days Rodeo Committee. Whether camping, horseback riding, or shooting, he loved the outdoors and the time spent with his family. Survivors include his wife, Sue; children: Kimberly (Bobby) Martinez; Brooke (Mike) Jones; Wade (Ashli) Hansen; Paige Searle; Beau (Gina) Hansen; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and brother Allen Hansen. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Kenneth Cody Hansen, his sister Sherri Homer, and brother Deon Hansen. Funeral services will be held Thursday January 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, Am. Fork. A viewing will be held at the mortuary Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
