Company D, 2rd Iowa Infantry Regiment CIVIL WAR The McLaughlin family looks to originally be McGlocklin,,,, during the Civil War, it appears that the name was altered to McLaughlin,,,,, a typographical error. Some of the family kept the name McLaughlin,,,,most went by McGlocklin.. Wellington's wife, Sarah Marie (Campbell) McLaughlin died 21 November 1913,,, her grave has not been found...... Wellington took his own life.....he was having health problems...... ∼ Buried in Hickory Grove Cemetery Jackson County, Iowa
