Bio

The birth and death dates are estimates for Lucy. Cause of death is also unknown. Her parents were Barnabus Jr. and Polly Cora (Corey) Cushman. Lucy married James Owen in 1838 in Erie Co., PA. The Owen family traveled by covered wagon in 1869 to homestead in Nebraska, Lancaster County. Her headstone was made by grandson, Frank Owen. He incorrectly carved "Mary" on her stone. This is the name of his maternal grandmother.
