Bio
Dorothy M. Blevins, 96, a 60 year resident of North Aurora passed away April 20, 2015, at Fair Oaks Health Care Center in Crystal Lake, IL. She was born March 11, 1919 in Aurora, NE the daughter of Amos and Joanna (nee Seybold) Moore. Dorothy was united in marriage to Edward Blevins in 1941 Dorothy worked as a welder at National Metal Wares in Aurora, IL, during WWII and into the 1960’s. She later was employed for many years by Carson Pirie Scott on Lake Street in Aurora. Dorothy was a talented seamstress and enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. She is survived by her daughters Jacquie (Rich Prezioso) Manning, and Sandi Lawrence; and three grandchildren, Misty Gramme, Larry Lawrence and Jason Lawrence. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Blevins and a son Robert (Bob) Blevins. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. Interment will follow in River Hills Memorial Park.
