Waco Tribune-Herald (Waco, TX); 22 Sep 1993 Ethel Tipps McGREGOR - Ethel Tipps, a McGregor homemaker, died Monday in Victoria. She was 88. Services will be 10:30 AM today at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Judy Sands officiating. Burial will be 2 PM at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Hubbard. Mrs. Tipps was born Jan. 19, 1905, in Hubbard, where she attended school. She later attended Baylor University. She married Boyd P. Tipps May 9, 1930, in Elm Mott; he died Sept. 30, 1980. She had lived in Waco before moving to McGregor in 1963. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Alvin B. Tipps of Alvin; a brother, Hugh Freeland of Cuero; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
