The Casper Daily Tribune Friday, October 11, 1929 Page 2 Frank J. Posvar, 72, Dies Thursday Night Frank J. Posvar of Santa Rosa, Calif., who has been visiting here for the last 10 months while looking after ranch interests near Casper, died late last night at 344 South Elm street. He was 72 years old. Posvar is survived by his widow, Mrs. Posvar of Santa Rosa; three sons, Louis and George of Casper, and Victor of Oregon, and two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Shackterle of Santa Rosa and Mrs. Bessie Gregg of San Francisco, Cal. Funeral arrangements have not been completed yet. The body is at the Muck Funeral Home. Mr. Posvar was born in Fremont, Neb. He came to Casper in 1887, and engaged in the mercantile business at Bessemer. He later moved to the Bates Hole country, where he went into the cattle raising business, continuing there until 1914, when he moved to California.
