Evelyn R. Power, 76, of Central City died Friday, July 26, 2002 at her daughter's home in Central City. Mrs. Power was born June 10, 1926 in Linwood to Joe and Emma (Johannes) Stanislav. She grew up in Linwood until 1939 when her family moved to Central City. She attended Butler and Merrick County schools. She married Robert Power on April 17, 1945, in Central City. The couple lived on a farm near Central City. He died Jan. 28, 1995, and she moved to town in 2000 to Bader North and then with her daughter until the time of her death. She enjoyed gardening, craft painting, playing in the family band and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her mother, Emma Nielsen of Central City; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Judy Power of Central City; one daughter and son-in-law, Deniece and Jim Paulsen of Central City; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Beulah Stanislav of Lincoln, Joe Jr. and Rosie Stanislav of Aurora and Betty Stanislav of Central City.
