Fred Burris Daily, son of Charles Martin and Molly Burris Daily, was born October 20, 1884, in Harrison County, Missouri. He departed this life October 9, 1969 in California, attaining the age of 84 years, 11 months and 19 days. His early life was spent on the farm of his parents. On February 22, 1910, he was united in marriage to Frona Naomi Slaughter and to this union 13 children were born. Frona died in January of 1935. Also, four children preceded him in death. He then was married to Roberta Rodgers in 1942. Fred was a farmer until he was elected Sheriff of Harrison County in 1940. He served as Sheriff or Deputy until 1952 when he retired and moved to California where he resided until his death. He is survived by his wife of the home and children: Glenn Daily, Downey, CA Ross Daily, Fallbrook, CA Bob Daily, Duena, CA Ralph Daily, Downey Park, CA Ned Daily, Downey, CA Bill Daily, Brawley, CA Roberta Daily Culp, Bell, CA Bina Daily Kirkland, Chulla Vista, CA Naomi Daily Walls, Fallbrook, CA and Siblings: George Daily, Marshfield, MO Ernest Daily, Clearfield, UT Dot Daily McVay, Marshfield, MO Nora Daily Clark, Richland, MO also, 28 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Card of Thanks Words cannot express our thanks to each and everyone who were so kind during our bereavement. Rose made an order yesterday in which he appointed Sheriff Fred Daly as agent of Harrison County to purchase and have installed, a buzzer system in the jury room, the sheriff’s office and halls “for the purpose of summoning the jury and officers of the court as may be required.”
