Bio

Isabelle A. Ruzicka, 72, of Grand Island, died Thursday, July 18, 2002 at St. Francis Medical Center. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 20, 2002, 10:00 a.m., at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Frank Holick officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, at Kleine Funeral Home, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. A Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Kleine Funeral Home. Liz was born October 17, 1929 in Elyria, Nebraska, the daughter of Ignatius and Frances (Koziol) Krason. She received her education in country schools and graduated from Ord High School in 1949. She worked in Ord as a dental assistant and as a waitress at Oscars Palladium in, Sargent, Nebraska. She married Emil A. Ruzicka, October 17, 1951. They lived in Sargent where she worked as a nurse aid. In 1984 they moved to Grand Island, where she worked at a Grand Island Day Care and later for Robertson Furniture. She is survived by her husband, Emil, of Grand Island, six sons; Ronald (and Patti) of Westerville, Nebraska, Mick of Cairo, Nebraska, and Doug (and Eileen) of Burke, Virginia, Greg, Tom, and Tim (and Karen), all of Grand Island, four daughters; Kathy Ruzicka of Woodbridge, Virginia, Joyce Larson and Pam Ruzicka, both of Grand Island, Sharon (Dave) Iwanski of Ord, Nebraska, sixteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Liz was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and an infant sister.
