Peter Lloyd Henggeler, Lincoln, 91, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015. He was born on June 1, 1924, at Cornlea, Nebraska, the son of Peter F. J. and Mary Henggeler. In 1935, the family moved to a farm northeast of Columbus where he farmed with his father. He was drafted into the Army in 1944 and he served with the Infantry in Germany. He was discharged in 1945 and continued to farm with his father until he moved to Lincoln, where he worked for Cushman Motors for 31 years. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans. He married Donna Jean Lusche of Columbus in 1947. They had no children. He is survived by four sisters, Helen Witt, Mary Ann Holscher, Mrs. Jack (Margy) Dawson, and Mrs. C. V. Gibbons, Jr.; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, LaVerna Howell Brown, of Alexandria, Va.; a brother, Wilfred (Bud) Henggeler, of Columbus; and a brother, Dean Henggeler, of Lincoln. Lincoln Memorial Park is in charge of funeral arrangements. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ.
