Edith Amy Edwards, 98, of McKinney, Texas, passed away June 23, 2015. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2015, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow in Allen. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen. Interment will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. Parents: the late Frank Virgil and Dona (Monk) Sims Married: George Aubrey Edwards Date Married: February 1, 1936 Deceased: May 9, 1997 Church Affiliation: High Pointe Church of Christ in McKinney, Texas Member of: Eastern Star of McKinney, Texas Other Interests: active youth leader and Vacation Bible School teacher for many years Survived by: her son, George Howard "Rusty" Edwards, of McKinney; daughters, Iris Nell Decker, of Allen, and Judy Gayle Jordan, of Garland; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph Sims, of Dekalb, Texas; sisters, Mildred Fisher, of Wylie, Texas, and Loveta Harvey, of Wills Point, Texas; other relatives and many friends.
