Fort Bend Herald, June 17, 2015: Wenceslaus Robert "Vance" Morris, 85, passed away in Richmond, Monday, June 15, 2015. He was born June 26, 1929 in East Bernard to Ignac and Hermenia (Kopecky) Morris. Vance was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army and worked as a carpenter most of his life. Survivors include his children, Cynthia Morris, Gene Morris and wife, Irene, Mary Kelner, Sidney Williams and wife, Connie; grandchildren, Travis Simmons and wife, Vashti, Trenton Simmons and wife, Caitlyn, Stephen Morris and wife, Dawn, Sandra Hawkins and husband, Will, Mark Morris, Shannon Kelner, Shelly McDaniel, Tammi Sewell and husband, Donald Ray, Cheyanne Forshee and husband, Brian, Sheena Sopchak and husband, Kyle; great-grandchildren, Zane Simmons, Kaylie and Kyndal Hawkins, Riley Morris, and Bryson Morris, Juliet, Chloe, and J.J. Stavinoha, and Donald Ray Sewell Jr., Hailey, Hunter, and Hannah Forshee, He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, Clyde and Robert Morris Jr.; and 11 siblings. The family would like to give special thanks to Hedy Morris Bryan and Uncle Gus and Aunt Ana Bell for all the years of loving care they gave him. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 19, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2015, from 4-8 P.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home. Tributes and words of condolence may be left for the family at www.davisgreenlawnfh.com.
